PROGRAM INFO

Both Baseball and Softball teams are a part of the Seven Rivers Athletic Association. Please check their website for league rules and regulations, field maps/addresses, overall schedules, and tournament dates. 

Baseball (8U - 14U): Baseball teams are formed at each age group from 8U - 14U and entered into the league based on registration numbers and skill level. Teams are coached by volunteers and will have games both in Bangor/Rockland and surrounding communities. The season begins in May and runs through July. All 11U-14U teams will have games on Tues./Thurs. evenings, all 9U-10U teams will have games on Mon./Wed. Evenings, and all 8U games are to be determined by the league (2022 season was on Wednesday nights). Each team will practice weekly based on coach and field availability. In addition, each team has the option to participate in one tournament paid for by Bangor Youth Sports. Birth date regulations apply. Transportation is the responsibility of the parent/guardian. 

Athletes have the option to purchase a new jersey ($20) and hat ($20) to be worn for games during the season that will be theirs to keep for following years. Athletes are responsible for purchasing their own gray baseball pants, footwear (must be a non-metal cleat for 12U and under), fielding glove, socks and belt (if applicable). 

New this year! We will have our first ever Cardinal Day for Baseball (if applicable), to help coaches determine skill level to split teams as evenly as possible. More information to come soon but we will look to have the Cardinal Day sometime in later April/Early May. (TBD based on field and coaches availability).

Athletes are responsible for purchasing their own black softball/baseball pants or shorts, footwear (must be a non-metal cleat for 12U and under), fielding glove, socks and belt (if applicable).

Beginner Ball (Ages 4-7): This program will introduce children to the game of baseball and softball and is a combination of Tee-ball and Coach Pitch that have been offered in years past. Beginner Ball will be once a week on Tuesday nights (6-7 PM) starting June 6 through July 25 (except for July 4). There will be a short practice session before ending with a game where children have the option to use a tee or have the coach pitch to them. 

REGISTRATION INFO

Online Registration is now available for Baseball, Softball and Beginner Ball! 

Registration of $60 for Baseball and Softball is due by March 31 (Fee includes Team fees and umpire cost). Family discount of 50% Registration Fee will apply starting with the 3rd child. Registration closes on March 31 as teams need to be decided and provided to the league for scheduling.

*Please Note: If we do not have enough kids to create a team within your child's age group your entry fee will be refunded. 

Registration of $30 for Beginner Ball is due by May 1.
